Purim Party Saturday evening, March 7, 9:00 p.m. - 1:00 a.m. Last year we had almost 500 people (no exaggeration!) at our wild klezmer dance party celebrating Purim. This year we are featuring a klezmer band led by the legendary klezmer musician Andy Statman. Admission is $20 ($15 AC members). Free refreshments. Memorial Day Weekend Friday, May 22 - Monday, May 25 - at Camp Ramah in the Berkshires. A fun filled weekend led by a member of Congregation Ansche Chesed which attracts many people from the Ansche Chesed Outings Group and Young Professional's groups. Highly recommended! Whitewater Rafting Sunday, June 28 - On the Lehigh River (Class II & III whitewater - it's a dam release day!), $45. Limited to the first 42 paid reservations. Labor Day Weekend Thursday, September 3 to Monday, September 7 - The 1998 MOSAIC National Event will take place at the YMCA of the Rockies (Estes Park) in a spectacular setting adjacent to Rocky Mountain National Park. Anticipated activities include hiking, downhill biking, canoeing, alpine slide, tennis, roller skating, swimming, archery, horseback riding, rock climbing, and hot air ballooning.
Accommodations will be hotel-like, with four to six per room. The cost will be $260 per person for 4 days and 3 nights (Friday - Monday). An optional add-on of Thursday night will be available at a cost of $40. (The food will be kosher style, strictly kosher food will cost $15/day extra.) Taurus, Cold Spring, 6 miles and 2000 foot elevation gain on difficult terrain (multiple rock scrambles, experienced hikers only - no beginners please, not for those with a fear of heights, hiking boots required).
