Schedule of Events

Oneg in the Sukkah - Monday, October 20 (Erev-Shemini Atzeret) in the Ansche Chesed Sukkah. We'll meet at about 8:30pm in the Ansche Chesed sukkah for some schmoozing and noshing under the stars (the oneg ends at 10:45pm). The details are simple; No reservations are needed or will be taken, just show up (and please bring a friend!). If it rains then the event will take place indoors.  Here is what you can do in "preparation" for this event; Invite a friend and (as the noshing is potluck) a box of cookies or other snack or a something non-alcoholic to drink to share with others. Please do remember that it must be kosher (and either dairy or pareve). Suggestions include a box of cookies, some seedless grapes, seltzer, a package of pre-washed baby carrots, something with chocolate etc etc. Bringing your favorite (Shabbat friendly) board game may also be a nice idea. As all good things like this end eventually, the oneg will end at 10:45pm and everyone must be out of the building by 11:00pm. For more information contact Michael (212/678-7881 before 9:00pm).

For those interested: There will be a coordinated kosher pareve/dairy potluck dinner in the sukkah prior to the oneg.  If you are interested in participating in the dinner then please contact Michael (212/678-7881 before 9:00pm) before 6:00pm on Thursday, October 16.  There will be no "walk-ins" allowed at the dinner.

Hiking - Sunday, April 26 (2009) - Black Rock Forest - 8.6 miles (5.5+ hours) Join us for hiking on terrain of moderate difficulty (moderate/rolling hills) with some very nice views (i.e. Black Rock, Spy Rock, and Eagle Cliff).  Bring hiking boots (required), lunch, water, daypack, hat, sunscreen, sunglasses, money, etc. Co-sponsored with the Mosaic Outdoor Mountain Club of Greater New York. Cost is $10 ($5 AC/Mosaic members). Limited to 30 people. Telephone reservations required by 6:00pm Monday, April 20. Contact Michael (212/678-7881 before 9:00pm) to reserve. Rain cancels. Car-pooling. Detailed trip information including driving directions.
