Wed, May 25, 2016 at 12:00 pm1:30 pm

| Free
Barbara Sontz has been researching Jewish family histories since 1999, starting with her own mishpacha. She travelled on paths that led her back in time to the 18th century and on present-day trips to Poland, Israel and Argentina. Barbara will share her journey with you. She will tell you about her adventures, the people, places and stories she has found, and her plans to share her discoveries with new generations. Barbara has a particular connection to her mother’s birthplace in Poland, which she has visited several times. She has spearheaded several projects in the town, including restoration of its Jewish cemetery, the creation of a web site devoted to its Jewish residents, and sponsorship of a Jewish history essay contest at the local high school. Barbara is a native New Yorker. Her family comes from Poland and Galacia. She currently works as a professional genealogist. She is a member of Ansche Chesed and the West Side Minyan.
Please bring a pareve or dairy kosher lunch.
Tea, seltzer and cookies will be served.
