NYFD - October 12, 2005

On Erev Yom Kippur, Ansche Chesed provided a last-minute refuge from the rain for New York City's firefighters.  The annual memorial service for fallen firefighters is held each fall at the monument at Riverside Drive & 100th Street, but the extreme rain of October 12th sent them scrambling for a nearby indoor space.  The ceremony was very moving, and we're glad they knocked on our door and gave us an opportunity to serve those who serve us.
