Ansche Chesed has partnered with DOROT in serving the older people in our congregation. DOROT is an organization that provides food, housing, companionship, education, and cultural enrichment to thousands of elderly New Yorkers and their caregivers and has fostered friendship and respect between generations. A dedicated Dorot social worker will be available to provide support and information to older individuals and caregivers in the AC community. These services can include:
• Home visits
• Information and referral
• Telephone reassurance
• Short-term counseling
• Crisis intervention
• Escorts to medical appointments
• Holiday visits
• Package deliveries
• AC intergenerational programming
• Caregiver support
• And more
