We…say the Kiddush, wash hands, dip a vegetable into salt water, break the middle matzah and hide the afikomen, tell the story of Passover, wash hands and say a blessing, eat matzah, eat maror, eat a sandwich of matzah and bitter herbs, eat the festive meal, eat the afikomen, say the blessing after the meal, sing songs of praise, complete the seder.
Mah Nishtanah (The Four Questions)
Mah nishtana halailah hazeh mikol haleilot
How different this night is from all other nights!
Sheb’chol haleilot anu ochlin chametz u’matzah. Halailah hazeh kulo matzah.
On all other nights we eat bread or matzah. On this night, we eat only matzah.
Sheb’chol haleilot anu ochlin she’ar yerokot. Halailah hazeh maror.
On all other nights we eat all kinds of vegetables. On this night we must eat a bitter herb.
Sheb’chol haleilot ein anu matbilin afilu pa’am echat. Halailah hazeh sh’tei f’amim.
On all other nights we do not have to dip vegetables even once. On this night, we dip them twice.
Sheb’chol haleilot anu ochlin ben yoshvin u’vein m’subin. Halailah hazeh kulanu m’subin.
On all other nights we eat our meals sitting any way we like. On this night we recline on pillows.
Avadim Hayinu (We Were Slaves In Egypt)
Avadim hayinu. Atah b’nai chorin.
We were slaves in Egypt. Now we are free!
Dayenu (For That Alone, It Would Have Been Enough)
Ilu hotzianu miMitzrayim, Dayenu.
God took us out of Egypt, Dayenu.
Ilu natan lanu et haShabbat
God gave us Shabbat, dayenu.
Ilu natan lanu et HaTorah, dayenu.
God gave us the Torah, Dayenu.
Eliyahu HaNavi (Elijah the Prophet)
Eliyahu haNavi, Eliyahu haTishbi Eliyahu ha Giladi
Bimhera v’yameinu, yavo eleinu im Mashiach ben David.
May Elijah the Prophet come quickly to usher in the time of the Messiah.
