New to Ansche Chesed? Welcome!

Find out what Ansche Chesed is all about -- our history, beliefs, values and more.

In short, we are a vibrant Conservative Jewish synagogue located on the corner of West End Avenue and 100th Street in the heart of Manhattan's Upper West Side.  With over 600 families, we offer a full slate of programs from Hebrew School to senior adults, from learner's Minyan to Hebrew book reading club, and our Shabbat morning services for kids and adults of all ages and interests.  Like the neighborhood around us, Ansche Chesed has lots of choice -- the trick is to try them out and see what works for you.  And that process of exploration can be an enlightening one.

So if you're looking for a seder or services, family Shabbat dinners or friendly potlucks, intellectual stimulation or cultural discourse, stop by.

We are easily reached by subway or bus: Subway #1,2, or 3 train to 96th Street, or #1 to 103rd Street. The #104 bus stops on Broadway at 99th Street (going uptown) and at 100th Street (going downtown). Parking garages are located on 100th Street between Amsterdam and Columbus Avenues, and on West 97th Street between Broadway and West End Avenue.

We know that walking into an unfamiliar place, especially a synagogue, can be a little intimidating.  So you can let us know if you're going to be dropping by -- we'd love to meet you and show you around.  Call the synagogue office at 212-865-0600 or click here.
