SUMMARY:Iftar Dinner for Muslim Refugees
DESCRIPTION:On June 7th\, we will host an Iftar dinner at the shul with a number of Muslim refugees here in the US\, in cooperation with a social activist group called Purpose. One of these refugees joined us at the synagogue seder on Passover\, and helped us celebrate our holiday. At a time when too many Americans are working overtime to keep refugees out\, and too many voice hateful anti-Islamic bigotry\, it will be an honor to welcome these guests into our community\, and to help them celebrate Ramadan.\n  \nAs you probably know\, the daily fast during Ramadan ends at sunset. Our dinner will begin at 8 pm on June 7th. We have a limited number of spaces for AC members to share the meal. If you’d like to come\, please send an email to Darone Ruskay in the office. And if you’d like to sponsor one or more refugees for our Iftar\, please make a $25 per person contribution to the rabbi’s discretionary fund.
