SUMMARY:Summer Stories: Lynn Lurie and Rachel Mann
DESCRIPTION:This summer\, in lieu of our popular literary series\, “Scribblers on the Roof\,” we are proud to present our first virtual reading series. AC members will read from and discuss their work in fiction\, non-fiction\, memoir\, and other genres\, Monday nights from 8-9pm. \nLynn Lurie’s powerful novel\, “Corner of the Dead\,” takes an unflinching look at the reign of violence in Peru between corrupt government authorities and the Shining Path guerillas\, as explored through the eyes of Lisette\, a young American photo journalist and human rights worker.\nRachel Mann’s lyrical coming-of-age novel\,”On Blackberry Hill\,” set in a Jewish summer camp attended by one mother and one daughter twenty years apart\, examines the influences of culture on their complex relationship.\n\nJOIN US VIA ZOOM
