DESCRIPTION:Yes You Can! Participate in Shabbat Morning Services \nWe are offering two parallel workshops to enhance participation in Shabbat morning services\, aimed at different levels of comfort with the service. We will begin all together with nosh at 4pm\, and then split into two groups: \nA. “Bless\, Dress and Impress:” Torah Service Choreography \nJoin Rabbis Yael Hammerman and Jeremy Kalmanofsky in a workshop to help you\, literally\, take hold of the Torah! We will learn how to properly have an Aliyah to the Torah\, how to carry a Torah\, how to do Hagba (lift the Torah)\, and do Gelilah (wrap the Torah). \nB. Workshop for Davening Lay Leaders\nL’El Baruch Ne’imot Yiteinu – Offering Sweet Song to the Source of Blessing \nJoin Hazzan Natasha J. Hirschhorn for a hands-on workshop discussing effective strategies for leading the community in prayer\, and practice applying them in a small nurturing environment. This session will focus on the section of Shacharit from Barekhu to the Kedusha\, the 3rd blessing of the Amida.
