Annual Sukkah Dinner & Sing Along

If you love music, but are not ready for a weekly commitment, bring more melodies and harmonies to your holiday celebration by joining Hazzan Hirschhorn and Shirei Chesed for Sing Along event during Sukkot. Refugee Shabbat: Shabbat Dinner

We join synagogues across America to focus our attention on the current refugee crisis through the commemoration of Refugee Shabbat. Our plans for this Shabbat will be multi-generational, including programming for those of Hebrew School age, adults, and families. Our programming includes Iraqi Refugee Ahmed Badr at Shabbat dinner, reading groups, arts, community service projects, and multi-faith programming. Please plan to join us for these Shabbat activities to give appropriate focus to this important issue.

Tamar Manasseh: A Mom On A Mission

Tamar Manasseh is the founder of MASK (Mothers/Men Against Senseless Killings). The organization, established in Chicago in 2015, as a way to put eyes on the streets, interrupt violence & crime, and teach children to grow up as friends rather than enemies. A group of caring individuals in the community began to simply hang out on the block, cook food, and emanate love.

Annual Chanukah Sing-Along & Potluck Dinner

Bring your own menorah, a dairy or parve dish to share, and, if you'd like, a musical instrument to play. Join Hazzan Natasha Hirschhorn, Shirei Chesed, Ansche Chesed Community Chorus and Mike Cohen, Woodwinds, for a rousing Chanukah sing-along from around the world, delicious latkes from Chef's Table, and a potluck dinner.

Love, Sex, and Relationships Shabbaton: Dinner and Conversation

Our community has no shortage of psychotherapists! Please join us for a conversation with Drs. Esther Altman, Laura Gold, Daniel Oppenheim, and Hadar Schwartz, who will share reflections, based on years of clinical practice, on what people need and want.

Kabbalat Shabbat will begin at 5:30, followed by Shabbat Dinner at 6:30. The program will begin at approximately 7:15.

If enough families register, we will be able to have supervised play in the gym.
