SUMMARY:Israel on 5th: Celebrate Israel Parade
DESCRIPTION:Join the Celebrate Israel Parade\, marching for Israel’s 76th Anniversary and to support the hostages and their families as we call for their immediate release. \nOnly marchers with pre-registered groups will be allowed on the parade route. Marchers must stay with their group and wear the group’s t-shirt. \nIf you plan to march\, please make sure to register with either of these groups (or another): \n\nThe UWS cluster with the UJA NY Federation\, meeting at 53rd Street between Fifth and Madison Aves at 11:30am. Contact Gali Rabin Choresh with any questions.\n\n\nThe Hostage Families Forum and Ameinu (RSVP to get the specific meeting place and time details).\n\nPlease note the following logistical and security guidelines: \n\nCome early to leave time for security screening\, entrance opens at 10am.\nEntrance to Fifth Avenue will only be from Madison Avenue\, arriving from the East Side at 61st\, 63rd\, 66th\, 70th\, or 73rd Street. There is no access to Fifth Avenue from Central Park\, and no spectators may watch from the west side sidewalk.\nThere are no streets to cross Fifth Avenue along the parade route. The only crossings are at 51st\, 59th\, and 79th Streets.\nThere are fewer viewing areas this year\, and no spectators permitted below 62nd Street.\nNo large bags\, backpacks or umbrellas are allowed. This prohibition will be enforced. Strollers are strongly discouraged.\nYou can watch the event online: Israel Day on Fifth will be broadcast on My9 and livestreamed on the Israel Day on Fifth website\, JCRC-NY’s YouTube Channel\, and JCRC-NY’s Facebook page.

If you cannot attend the meeting\, please fill out the Proxy Form and submit it by email to president@anschechesed.org before the meeting. \nAt the meeting\, we’ll: \n1) elect the slate of trustees and officers as recommended by the Nominating Committee; \n2) vote on Rabbi Hammerman and Hazzan Hirschhorn’s contracts; \n3) vote on updated bylaws (revised by Davis Polk & Wardwell LLP with the board to comply with New York State law and align with best practices for religious institutions); and \n4) say farewell to Arthur (Artie) Diemar\, one of our longtime security guards. \nClick here to view the full Agenda.
