Teen Class
High School students are welcome to join the bi-weekly Tuesday class with Rabbi Kalmanofsky and Sam Hollander. Spring Semester: The Jewish People, America, Zionism, and Judaism How is Judaism like a religion, comparable to Christianity and Islam? How is it like a nation, comparable to France or Japan? Shabbat at Ansche Chesed offers members and visitors alike many paths to spiritual engagement. West Side Minyan is a lay-led service on the 6th floor.

Minyan M’at is an independent, traditional, egalitarian community within Ansche Chesed. Now more than 30 years old, our group of over 150 households comes together to daven (pray), to learn, to celebrate and to sustain each other.
Find out more »Big Kids’ Service (Grade 3 through pre-bar/bat mitzvah)
This service delves into the structure and purpose of tefillot (prayers) and parshah (Torah portion). As they watch each other participate, children develop a feeling of community.

This service exposes children to a greater number of Shabbat tefillot (prayers) than are presented in the Mishpachah Service. Boys and girls are encouraged to help lead the prayers.

Babies and toddlers are exposed to the sights and sounds of Shabbat during this lively service. It is supplemented by fun and engaging songs, stories and movement
