Israeli Fiction Book Club

Join us monthly for Ansche Chesed’s first book club. This year, member Jeremy Caplan will lead a book club focusing on Israeli fiction, covering a range of contemporary and classic Israeli writers including Amos Oz, Etgar Keret, S.Y. Love, Sex, and Relationships Shabbaton: Dinner and Conversation

Our community has no shortage of psychotherapists! Please join us for a conversation with Drs. Esther Altman, Laura Gold, Daniel Oppenheim, and Hadar Schwartz, who will share reflections, based on years of clinical practice, on what people need and want.

Kabbalat Shabbat will begin at 5:30, followed by Shabbat Dinner at 6:30. The program will begin at approximately 7:15.

If enough families register, we will be able to have supervised play in the gym.

This service delves into the structure and purpose of tefillot (prayers) and parshah (Torah portion). As they watch each other participate, children develop a feeling of community.

Yigdal Service (Kindergarten through Grade 2)

This service exposes children to a greater number of Shabbat tefillot (prayers) than are presented in the Mishpachah Service. Boys and girls are encouraged to help lead the prayers.
