Children’s Book Drive for PS 145

The 1,700+ books generously donated by Ansche Chesed households during the last academic year for the PS 145 Bookshelf flew off the shelves. The students of PS 145 would love more books as the new school year begins!
Please bring children’s books to the Ansche Chesed lobby on Sunday, September 14th, from 11 am to 1 pm. The books will stock the PS 145 Community Bookshelf, where students can select books for free to take home, keep, and enjoy.
The school needs:
- New or gently used books, preschool through fifth grade
- Picture books, board books, novels, non-fiction and graphic novels
- Books in English, Spanish, Russian, Ukrainian and Mandarin
Donors will be asked to take the following books, which the school cannot use, back home:
- Middle & high school books or adult books
- Books in poor condition or out-of-date
- Religious books, including Judaica and PJ Library books
- Encyclopedias, magazines, and textbooks
- Coloring books and other workbooks with markings inside
Due to storage limitations, please do not drop off books on other days or times.
