Kabbalat Shabbat

Join us as we begin Shabbat with our traditional Kabbalat Shabbat and maariv service.

One interpretation of a deeper meaning of the month of Elul describes it as a time of a particularly beautiful and loving connection between God and the Jewish people, when read as an acronym of “Ani L’Dodi V’Dodi Li” – I am my beloved, and my beloved is mine, a quote from the Song of Songs.
On this and the remaining Friday nights of Elul from now until Rosh Hashanah, join Hazzan Hirschhorn and Rabbi Kalmanofsky in welcoming Shabbat with an extra dose of love songs and poetry.
