Make Your Own Matzah

“Rabbenu Asher would work hard himself on baking matzot for the seder, encouraging and assisting the bakers, and so it is proper for every person to do, engaging in this mitzvah themselves.”- Shulhan Arukh 460.2 This year Ansche Chesed will empower you to make Kosher-for-Passover matzah for the seder night with your very own hands. Shavuot Tikkun Under the Stars: Healing in Jewish, Muslim and Christian Traditions

As the holiday of giving and receiving Torah begins, we'll greet Shavuot with study, celebration, cheesecake and light nosh on the Ansche Chesed roof. We will be joined by our Muslim partners from the Peace Islands Institute and neighbors from Trinity Lutheran Church. Sanctuary Shavuot Services

Join the Ansche Chesed community in the Sanctuary to celebrate Shavuot. The first day will feature our "First Fruits" group aliyah celebrating recent births in the community. Families of newborns are invited to join us. You can come for the whole service, or just slip in for a short visit around 10:30am for the aliyah. Minyan M’at Shavuot Services

Minyan M’at is a lay-led, participatory, independent, traditional, egalitarian community within Ansche Chesed. More than 30 years old, our group of over 150 households comes together to davven (pray), to learn, to celebrate and to sustain each other.
