Volunteer at Trinity Place Shelter
The mission at Trinity is to help homeless lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, or queer (LGBTQ) youth and young adults to safely transition out of the shelter system and grow into independent, positive, and productive adults.

Refugee Shabbat: Shabbat Dinner
We join synagogues across America to focus our attention on the current refugee crisis through the commemoration of Refugee Shabbat. Our plans for this Shabbat will be multi-generational, including programming for those of Hebrew School age, adults, and families. Our programming includes Iraqi Refugee Ahmed Badr at Shabbat dinner, reading groups, arts, community service projects, and multi-faith programming. First Friends of New Jersey and New York provides visitors and other support within immigration detention centers, helps detainees who have been released, and advocates for a more just immigration system. In this program you will learn about the operation of the largely for-profit detention system and what you can do to assist immigrants in detention.
