As the spring winds down and the summer beckons, we always like to honor those in the community who are graduating from their various schools, completing their courses of study, or otherwise moving on. We will call all of you in a group to the 4th aliyah (which we will reach not before 10:45am, for those of you keeping count). The New Sanctuary Coalition of New York Training

The New Sanctuary Coalition of NYC is an interfaith network of congregations, organizations, and individuals, standing publicly in solidarity with families and communities resisting detention and deportation in order to stay together. One of its major projects is the Accompaniment Program which has provided support to hundreds, if not thousands, of immigrants facing deportation or detention. In honor of the Congregation trip to Poland, our Friday night davening and oneg will come with a Polish flavor. The Kabbalat Shabbat and Maariv prayers will be led by a Warsaw born vocalist Channah Silverman, who is a Cantorial Student at the Jewish Theological Seminary.
