Yom Hashoah Reading of the Names

Each Year, Ansche Chesed participates with Synagogues on the Upper West Side and the JCC Manhattan in the annual commemoration of Yom HaShoah, by reading from books of names of those who perished in the Shoah.
The Reading of the Names will begin on the evening of Wednesday, May 1 at 10pm and continue through the night until Thursday, May 2 at 8am.
From 9 am to 6 pm the reading continues at the JCC.
Our synagogue has a designated 20 minute slot for members to read the names. Participants are also welcome to read their own family names.
Ansche Chesed’s Time Slot: Early Thursday morning, May 2 from 2:20 – 2:40am
The time for Teens and Tweens is 7 – 7:30am on Thursday morning, May 2.
Place: The Carlebach Shul, 305 W. 79th Street (West End Ave.-Riverside Dr.)

If you can’t make the time slot for Ansche Chesed, you are welcome to join the reading at the JCC throughout the day, at 334 Amsterdam Avenue @ 76th Street, on Thursday, April 12 from 9am – 6pm.
